I want to encourage every single one of you to do what you can to help the people left homeless by Katrina. People are using this disaster just to play the race card or throw a cheap jab at the government while hundreds are dying and thousands upon thousands are without homes. Those of us reading this don't know what those people are going through and I pray to God that any of us never do.

Even if it's a couple of bucks or a handful of change...every little bit helps. These people are going to be homeless for a very long time and help is going to be needed for many months to come. Please donate to the Red Cross. You may use the link below. Also, the webcomic community has banded together to run the Web Comic Telethon. 100% of funds raised will go right to hurricane relief. As of now, I do not know if Muy Muvesto! will be appearing in the telethon (I'm going to try my damndest though!) but it's a worthy cause. You get to help people and see some great comics!

Please, I encourage (and emplore) you to help where you can. Every little bit helps!

Imagine you get home from work on Friday after a long week. You sit down in your comfy chair and have somethind to drink and eat and hear that a Hurricane might be barreling towards your way. Naturally you know if it comes near you, that you'll hop in your car or go stay with family.

Its a pretty simple solution right? Right, if you have money. Face it, the Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi area isnt' super wealthy.

So basically that scenario from above was for the lucky people. Most people would run out of money after a couple of days or in the case of the very unlucky people in New Orleans you get trapped and fight your life.

I'm sure during this last week you've heard pleas and begs and everything about Hurricane Katrina. Well listen to one more. Give some money to these poor people. One day this could happen to you. It could take the form or an Earthquake, Tsunami, or Hurricane.

It doesn't matter how much. Give your bottles and cans deposit money. These poor people have nothing left and have to start over and every single little bit helps because if everyone in the United States alone donated just 1 dollar you would end up with 285 million dollars. So when you see that red cross or Salvation Army person asking for money, dig around for change or pop home and collect up your bottles or cans and help these people out.
