This weekend was a rather sad weekend with former President Reagan passing on. I was too young to remember much of what he accomplished, I just knew that life was pretty good then. I am not as outspoken as MoJo on the subject, but I always think that it's good to make some sort of public note when such a prominent person passes away.

Next...the Muy Muvesto! written exam contest deadline has been pushed back until July 31st! We've received too few entries (thanks abbie!) and I am hoping that our Port Con appearance may drum up some new visitors and perhaps some new entries into the contest!

Speaking of Port Con... I finally finished my presentation for the computer graphics panel. If you're in the area, please come...it'll be swank. There's handouts! Also, Port Con will be a great place to get Muy Muvesto and my art prints 66% off! Yep... 66% off...posters will costs the same, but prints... 66% off!

Because of the messed up con schedule, the rest of the month will follow this update path having updates on these days... 6/14 and 6/28. I will be taking one week off for Port Con, because to be able to go to Port Con, the week of the 14th I am working 10 hour days to make up for my Friday absence, and then I will be at the con all three days, so the Monday update for 6/21 just won't make it and rather than put out a crappy one or a stupid filler, I'll just hold the update until 6/28. You will all surive...if you don't, then reread past weeks and ENTER THE CONTEST!

Lastly...the days until Port Con Maine 2004!

RECAP:

1. Kiriban 10,000
2. The Contest! ENDS JULY 31ST
3. Regan, the life, the legacy.

4. 7 = C
5. Come see us at Port Con!

This week I take a break from my nonsensical and worthless rant to say something I feel is rather important.

This past Saturday was one of the saddest moments I can remember as the 40th President of the United States Ronald W Reagan died at age 93 in his home in California.

I know if your reading this and your older what your thinking. This is a political plug or this is politics yuck. But hear me out if you actually care what I write.

Ronald Reagan goes far beyond politics and who's right and who's wrong. The 1980's changed the face of America forever and brought about much of what you see now. Your internet, digital cable, video games, and other advances can be attributed to Mr. Reagan. His economic policies brought a nation troubled by high energy costs to a nation that spent. Much like people now buy things with their allowances like Neopets, and Xboxes...it can be truly a sign of what Mr. Reagan did.

So I ask you all to do something you thought you'd never do. Pick up a book on Ronald Reagan. Surf a website on his life. See what he has done for you and all of us. He is not a hateable character..he proves to everyone that you don't have to hate everyone. His politics were widely considered the most bi-partisan of all time and upon his leaving office in 1989 he was the most popular president of all time. So today when you play Sony, or listen to your CD's think about who got you there. Mr. Ronald Regan..god rest your soul.
